Harry Styles Dating News: Fling From Before Taylor Swift Says Relationship was 'Brief But Fun'
British actress Emily Atack opened up for the first time about her fling with One Direction band member Harry Styles, saying it was "brief but fun."
The Inbetweeners star, 23, and 1D singer, 19, were first romantically linked in May 2012. She told Revel magazine they dated for a bit but now she and Styles - who has been linked to many famous women including singer Taylor Swift, TV presenter Caroline Flack and model Cara Delevingne – do not speak anymore.
"We were never boyfriend and girlfriend," Atack explained. "I think that’s the first time I’ve ever admitted to what it was, because I’ve always just shrugged it off before."
Styles never before addressing claims regarding his relationship with Atack, but she said she is now keen to "clear up" the rumors.
"I think it’s best to clear it up. So, yeah, we had a short-lived thing that was just a bit of fun. Then we went off in our opposite directions," she said. "Harry and I had a laugh. It was brief, but fun, and then we moved on. We haven’t spoken in a while – he’s one of the most famous people in the world now."
The actress is now dating 19-year-old model Jack Vacher. Styles' last serious relationship was Swift and they broke up in january 2013 after a few months of dating. She graced the April 2013 issue of Vanity Fair and her cover story revealed the reason behind her split with Styles, saying everything spiraled downward following a text message from the United Kingdom native about him and another girl. Swift broke things off when she saw a picture of Styles "making out" with a friend, but he eventually convinced her to take him back.
"But the whole time she says she feels like he's looking at every girl," a source, who Swift allowed to speak on her behalf, told the magazine about the former couple.
When they were in London together, the boy band member "disappeared " one evening and "after that it was like he just didn't want to keep going." Styles' rep, however, said the claims are "undeniably false."
