Johnny Depp has been subject to more damning allegations after the pre-defamation trial documents have been unsealed recently.

Amid Depp and Amber Heard's legal battle after the defamation trial, the case's 6,000 pages of pre-trial documents have been publicized. The documents obtained by The Daily Beast divulged scathing accusations about the actor, some of which were made by his ex-girlfriend, Ellen Barkin.

The 68-year-old actress disclosed that she had an intimate time with Depp when they were still dating in the 1990s. At that time, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor reportedly gave her a Quaalude and asked her if she wanted to do "it."

According to the PBS News Hour, Quaalude is a central nervous system depressant that also serves as a sedative and hypnotic drug - which induces sleep.

She added that the 59-year-old actor hurled a bottle of wine when they were filming "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." At that time, the bottle was not thrown at her but he had been fighting with his friends.

"I wasn't shocked. There is always an air of violence around him. He's a yeller. He is verbally abusive. And those things you can see," she said.

Barkin also disclosed that the actor was drunk all the time and used marijuana, hallucinogens, and cocaine while he was around her.

Despite the damning accusations, she revealed that the actor was not bad at all as he was kind to her children. She also described him as a loving person toward those he cared for but cruel to people he saw as "beneath him," including his assistants.

Ellen Barkin Testified Against Johnny Depp

Before the documents were unsealed, Barkin testified through a deposition recorded in November 2019 in which she called him "wine drinker."

Her initial statement resonated with what Heard said, revealing that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor tried to control her career throughout their short-lived marriage.

"He was just a jealous man, controlling. Controlling. Asking me, 'Where are you going? Who are you meeting with?' I had a scratch on my back once that he got very, very angry.... He insisted it came from me having sex with a person who wasn't him during that time," Barkin added.

Her testimony also included the wine bottle incident. However, Depp and his team alleged that Barkin only said those things out of hatred.
