Danniella Westbrook Shares Experience About 'Blood Poisoning' Illness, Becoming Bed-Ridden
Danniella Westbrook shares her experience in fighting "blood poisoning" illness or Septicaemia.
In the interview, the star discussed how she was rushed to the hospital due to a bloodstream infection in May.
"Septicaemia is a serious bloodstream infection also known as blood poisoning."
EastEnders actress Westbrook opened up that she suffered a serious illness this year and it happened not just once.
"Because of my operations I'm quite open to it. I don't always wear a mask and I should, so they're always telling me off!" She said in an exclusive interview.
She also revealed that she went back to the gym quickly. She is pushing herself so much to be fit and this was the reason why she had a three-time bloodstream infection this year.
Daniella announced that she has a personal trainer now following her not "healthy" ways of getting fit.
Previously, a former BBC star confessed that she's bedridden because of the illness she has which spikes concern from her fans.
A rep at the time said: "Danniella suffered a sudden health shock."
Fortunately, it was properly taken care of and the actress received medical assistance she needed at that time and was released from hospital.
As far as health issues are concerned, the star said that she is in regular contact with her therapist and says that she is feeling good.
"I've gone through stages in my life being so neurotic, ADHD and mental health issues, so if you're going to be in this industry you need to be looked after properly," she added.

Meanwhile, amid health issues, Westbrook confirmed that she is in her "happiest" moment since fiance David came.
The couple revealed their relationship in March this year and are still a happy couple until now.
During the time that her boyfriend is serving her sentence in prison, she received a question that requires two words a "YES" or a "NO" but Eastenders legend says the "first" when asked if she will marry her boyfriend.
In an exclusive interview at the launching of Whsky Label, Westbrook admitted that she is "over the moon happy."
"I'm good, I'm happy. It helps when you're grounded and you're happy with yourself, and you start to like yourself a bit more."
Westbrook also said that she knew her fiance and she doesn't need to "second" guess her lover nor her lover to second guess her.
Last month, the actress shared a photo of her fiance while visiting him in prison.
