‘Live With Kelly and Ryan' Faces Boycott After Fans Caught On 'Fake Blunders' For Ratings
Fans of "Live! With Kelly and Ryan" are threatening to boycott the show after seeing a recurring trend in each episode.
The program has been chastised for being dull and predictable, and many viewers believe that some of the show's recent gaffes were staged to boost ratings.
Critics of the show, presented by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, vented on Twitter, with one person calling it "the worst show on the planet."
"[Live!] is so dull that it nearly appears like they have to fabricate humiliating gaffes on TV simply to keep their little audience watching."
Another commentator remarked that the show "had to be the most unseasoned show on TV," if not the "worst uninteresting show" ever filmed.
Fans of "Live! With Kelly and Ryan" spotted a huge error on the screen when welcoming a guest last month.
"We'll be back with Vivica A. Fox," Ryan remarked before the commercial break.
The show announcer then reiterated his remark, elaborating on it slightly, adding, "Still ahead on Live, Jean Chatzky is here to give us suggestions on how young folks might learn how to save money."
"We'll open up the inbox to hear your questions and comments. And, coming up next, Vivica A. Fox," Déjà Vu added.
While Ryan and Déjà Vu delivered the actress's name properly, viewers noted a typo in the screen's flashing graphic message.
It said "Vivica J. Fox" rather than "Vivica A. Fox."
Kelly Ripa also had a wardrobe incident with her co-host in early July while playing multiple 4th of July activities, some of which required more movement than others.
While Ryan dressed comfortably, his co-host dressed up in a maxi dress and high heels.
Kelly stated that she will do all in her power to win, even if it means sacrificing her clothing.
"You know what I have do," she said as she raised up her long dress and halted at the start of the game to place it into her underwear.
"I need to slip my [dress] into my underpants." Because I will tumble over it."
In another episode, Ryan Seacrest had some puppy problems until they were joined by a training specialist who showed them some dog tricks.
At one point, the "American Idol" host couldn't keep up with the teachings and ended up on the ground while attempting to get a dog to return to him.
The dog specialist went on to assist him and switch dogs with Ryan in order to assist him.
Ryan's second puppy similarly ran away from him; regrettably, he had to flee the set and go behind the scenes to track it down.
He subsequently returned to the show with the runaway dog.
