[VIDEO] Anne Heche ALMOST Hit a Woman Seconds Before Fiery Car Crash
Anne Heche almost killed a pedestrian before she crashed her vehicle into a home in Mar Vista, California.
A new exclusive video shows the last moments before the fiery car crash, showing Heche nearly hitting a pedestrian while she was driving her blue Mini Cooper.
The clip, obtained by a news outlet, clearly recorded Heche looked like she did not hit the brake or swerve to avoid the woman in an alleyway. Watch the whole video here.
Another video (as shared by Extra) displays how the actress hit a Jaguar before driving into a nearby garage and driving away.
With the evidence, the police confirmed that they launched an investigation to determine whether drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
Officer Annie Hernandez told USA TODAY on Monday that a warrant was already issued by the Los Angeles Police Department on Friday. The warrant was used to do a toxicology blood test on the 53-year-old star.
Anne Heche's Accident Explored
FOX LA reported that the actress had been identified as the one who crashed into a Mar Vista home and sparked a fire. Firefighters responded to the scene and found a 2020 Mini Cooper causing a massive fire.
They first extinguished the flame before being able to pull the car out of the 738-square-foot house. It caused damage to the properties and heavy smoke around the area.
"The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver was transported to a local hospital by LAFD," Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee told CNN.
Before the authorities tried rescuing Heche, David Manpearl reportedly tried to do so but failed to get her out of the burning car.
Aside from the pedestrian, the tenant of the house where Heche crashed her car into "was fortunate to survive" it. Lynne Mishele, whose home was destroyed in the crash, did not sustain any injury. Her neighbor, Lynne Bernstein, told PEOPLE that Mishele was in shock before she was able to notice the vehicle.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been created by her other neighbors, John and Jennifer Durand, to help her after losing her house.
"Lynne lives with her beautiful pups Bree and Rueban, and tortoise Marley in the Mar Vista home that was destroyed this week by a car driving into the home at a high rate of speed, catching the house on fire. Lynne and her family very narrowly escaped physical harm, and for that we are very, very grateful," they said.
