Anne Heche Weird Behavior Before Tragic Accident: She Purchased What?!
Anne Heche is in critical condition in the hospital after crashing her car into a house and setting fire to herself and the property.
New information about what happened minutes before the terrible collision has emerged.
According to Radar Online, the 53-year-old actress went to a Venice Beach hair shop and bought a wig less than 30 minutes before police arrived at the collision site last Friday.
Heche allegedly smiled and was "coherent" 27 minutes before the disaster.
Store owner Richard Glass said Heche bought a $125 red-headed wig at 10:25 a.m. and even posted a photo of herself wearing it.
The site also reported that the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a complaint at 11 a.m. in the Mar Vista district, some 15 minutes away from the business.
"I didn't expect - or suspect - anything at all," Glass told Page Six.
He also stated that sharing their photo together would only commemorate a "so random" visit from a Hollywood celebrity.
"She was courteous, friendly, interesting - and coherent. It was a pleasure - she was a delight."
The business owner also disclosed that it was Heche's first visit to his studio, which he has owned for 21 years.
Police want to know Anne Heche's blood alcohol level to see if she was under the influence when she slammed into an apartment complex garage and drove away at 90 miles per hour.
Despite being in a coma, Anne Heche might face a minor DUI hit-and-run charge if she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division subsequently verified that the celebrity collided with a car before crashing into the apartment building, which eventually caught fire.
According to reports, about 60 firefighters attempted to put out the fire for 65 minutes and had to pull the "Six Days, Seven Nights" actress from the driver's seat. She was brought to the hospital, where she is still in a comaand being treated for her injuries.
"Shortly after the accident, Anne Heche went unconscious, sliding into a coma," the actress' representative told Radar on Monday. "She has a substantial lung damage that need artificial breathing, as well as burns that necessitate surgical surgery."
