Wendy Williams Scared Fans With Recent Looks? Host Reportedly Becomes 'Different'
Wendy Williams sparked more health concerns despite recent positive news about her podcast.
Williams is getting excited to launch her upcoming project, "The Wendy Experience" podcast, after losing her long-running talk show.
On The Wendy Experience Podcast's official Instagram account, she shared a short video of her saying "Co-hosts, I'm famous, and I'll be back, trust me."
The video features Williams sitting on what seems to be a bed before the clip cuts to the podcast's official logo and title.
While fans expressed their excitement as they would be seeing her again, others spoke about their concerns especially since Williams reportedly looked "scary and different" in the video.
"Not even gonna lie I was on live and closed out then saw ya face and it scared tf outta me," one said, with another writing, "You can see it in her eyes... not the same Wendy."
Williams has been open about her bout with Graves' disease. On her Instagram, she spoke how the disease kept her from hosting her show due to its worsening symptoms.
Dr. Terry Jay Smith, a professor at the University of Michigan Medical School specializing in endocrinology, explained the disease even further. He revealed that it could cause a patient's eyes to inflame and bulge - which is seemingly the reason why her eyes look like that.
Wendy Williams' Health Issues Explored
The concerns about her health occurred after her friends recently said that Williams was already "troubled" and not living in reality.
In a statement to The Sun, the source insisted that the "Wendy Williams Show" show is no longer living in reality and is already "out of it."
Others also disclosed to the news outlet that Williams often forgets who she is speaking to.
"You can be on the phone with her, and she will ask who she's speaking to. It's happening to everyone in her circle," another insider said.
A separate source, however, detailed that it does not happen with new people in her life but also with her friends she has known for years.
Williams has also been dealing with lymphedema, which makes her feet appear swollen. According to the National Cancer Institute, the condition refers to the build-up of fluid in a patient's soft body tissues. It occurs when the lymph system is blocked or damaged, thus, it causes swelling.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adds that the swelling may develop quickly or slowly for months.
