Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were meant to have a nice honeymoon.

Many admirers were overjoyed to see them reconcile and eventually marry two decades after they split up. But everyone wanted to see the newlyweds, even if their honeymoon in France had turned into a tragedy.

Affleck, who fought the glare of cameras during his first romance with the "Maid in Manhattan" actress, suffered on their honeymoon with multiple photographers following them.

An insider told Page Six that the father-of-three was "a bit spooked out" when in Paris since it was a "whole other level."

According to the insider, the situation is "nearly Princess Diana-level."

In 2002, Affleck and Lopez were subjected to so much public scrutiny that they were forced to postpone their first planned wedding in 2003, even considering having "decoy brides" on their big day.

"Due to the enormous media attention around our wedding, we have chosen to postpone the date," the couple said in a statement before their initial nuptials.

According to the source, the "Gone Girl" star was not accustomed to being in the limelight, but he apparently thought their honeymoon was a "tsunami."

"[Lopez] is built of steel and knows what comes with the territory, but he still gets irritated."

While Jennifer Lopez looked flawless in every photo, Affleck appeared to be designed for memes.

There was a photo of him looking melancholy while staring out at the sea, another of him smoking a cigarette with his eyes closed in misery, and another of him balancing numerous things at once - a box of munchkins, iced coffees, and more.

Affleck was even photographed crying in front of the Eiffel Tower.
