Adam Levine on 'The Voice' Season 23? Blake Shelton Plays Huge Role In His Comeback
Adam Levine is allegedly returning to "The Voice" after years away.
But his friend Blake Shelton may have influenced his alleged choice to return.
The Maroon 5 frontman chose to leave the singing reality TV competition in 2019. He claimed at the time that he wanted to spend more time with his wife, Behati Prinsloo, and their two children.
The "Payphone" hitmaker, who joined the singing competition in 2011, explained that he had been preparing for the program for so long that he needed to be present for his family.
But it may be Levine's change of heart.
Several sources told Star Magazine that he wants to return to the big red chair after season 22 of "The Voice."
One source told the newspaper that Levine misses his banter with Shelton, and that "Adam realized there is an out-of-sight, out-of-mind penalty to quitting 'The Voice.'"
According to the source, ratings have plummeted since Levine quit "The Voice."
Following a few of polls, it was determined that fans primarily watched the program to see Levine and Shelton give each other s-t."
After 16 seasons on the program, Adam Levine startled audiences when he announced his departure in May 2019.
"For me, it was time to move on," she posted on Instagram at the time. Your assistance has meant everything."
Levine's departure was even more stunning given that he had previously been confirmed as returning for season 17 of "The Voice" alongside John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson.
While the singer-performer earlier stated that his departure would let him to focus on his family, insiders indicated that the main reason for his departure was that Levine did not want to attend the show's Sunday shooting.
As a result, Behati Prinsloo's husband voiced annoyance with having to be presented even though he no longer had singers competing for the season championship.
There were allegations that Levine was unpleasant during the whole session.
Still, it's wise to take Adam Levine's return to "The Voice" for the upcoming season with a grain of salt, as there's no guarantee that he will.
The singer of "She Will Be Loved" has yet to respond to the notion.
