Did Sherri Shepherd Shade 'Rude' Wendy Williams In Recent Interview? 'I'm Not Mean!'
Did Sherri Shepherd just shade Wendy Williams?
Despite the fact that Sherri's program has yet to begin, it appears that she is already trashing her predecessor.
The new host, whose show "Sherri" will replace Wendy's "The Wendy Williams Show," has stated that she will make her version of TV more "friendly" to both guests and fans.
"Let's be clear, I'm not a cruel guy at all!" the 55-year-old soon-to-be presenter told the Daily Mail.
She continued by saying, "I believe in the power of good energy. I'm all about happiness. I believe in kindness and humor. Anyone who knows me will tell you the same thing."
Sherri has already warned fans not to anticipate any snide remarks from her program since she wants her talk show to reflect her upbeat personality.
"As a star myself, I know what it's like to not feel secure coming on a program or hope a host doesn't attempt to have a gotcha-moment with you," she added, before adding, "It will be a celebrity-friendly zone on Sherri."
"Sherri" is planned to launch on September 12, whereas Wendy's show was canceled in June due to various strange behaviors and the host's health concerns.
What's Wrong with Wendy Williams?
Wendy Williams' bizarre conduct has alarmed followers after she made many bizarre statements in recent interviews.
Her buddy apparently struggles to control what she says in the media, as she bizarrely stated she married on August 2.
She was later found unconscious next to a champagne glass in a high-end luxury boutique in New York City.
Despite her efforts to maintain a low profile, the 58-year-old troubled singer has been observed appearing worriedly thin, bewildered, and confused.
Several members of Wendy's close circle have stated that she is also "not living in reality," and that she frequently forgets who she talks to in the aftermath of her problems.
But Wendy Williams' program ended, and despite being requested to say her farewell on the last episode, she apparently declined.
According to Deadline, that when Wendy's finale was slated to air, the production requested for a pre-taped video, but "she said no," even if it was for the last time.
This is because the former DJ is said to be "not at peace" with what happened to her program, and she is allegedly aware that once "Sherri" begins, Wendy Williams' name "will not be uttered again," according to the source.
