Idris Elba Not Okay With Taking 'James Bond' Role in Replace of Daniel Craig?
Idris Elba appears to be not okay in taking the "James Bond" role in replace of Daniel Craig when he said, "Enough is enough."
"James Bond" film has established the character of Bond that is continuously loved by the many fans of the film since it was started decades ago.
As the film evolves, the lead actor also gets old that's why it requires change if the actor retires or is not fit to the role anymore.
Since the James Bond character is something that producers can't just pick whenever they want, the production is looking for someone who can replace the former "James Bond" actor, Craig.
In the report of Mirror, the team is eyeing Elba to replace Craig as the new James Bond and even fans sees him as perfect for the role but what others want is not what actor Elba wants.
Back in 2021, Elba candidly said that he didn't want to be the next James Bond, in an interview on the premiere night of "The Harder They Fall."
He also addressed the speculations about him getting the role of Craig in his interview with a news outlet wherein he said "I'm probably the most famous Bond actor in the world, and I haven't even played the role... Enough is enough. I will not talk about it anymore."
Elba declining the role might raise questions if he is not okay taking the role as James Bond. Though there is no exact answer coming from the actor, it is safe to say that perhaps Elba wants to create his own image in the showbiz industry.
Mirror stated that "Luther" actor wants to pursue his own projects in which he will reprise the role of DCI John Luther after 10 years of the BBC show.
As of now, as per Barbara Broccoli, producer of the movie said that creating and reinventing another character for James Bond will take SOME time.
Meanwhile, Elba's daughter Isan reportedly stopped talking to him for 3 weeks after failing the audition in his new film "Beast."
In an interview, Elba and Isan auditioned together in the film but unfortunately Isan didn't make it even though she gave her best just to land a role.
Her uncle Will Packer served as his vent out venue as Packer talked to Isan about the event in which she said that she was still "gracious" for the experience even though producers and directors didn't pick her.
In which Elba admires her daughter for her attitude towards painful scenarios.
"We got through that, you know and I'm really proud of her to go through that, not get the role, but still come to the premiere."
