Jane Fonda Admits Her Life Would Be Very Different Without Ex-Husbands' Help
Jane Fonda has been in the industry for decades as one of the most sought-after actresses and she recently revealed that three men helped her become who she is today.
In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, the "Barefoot in the Park" star revealed that all three of her former husbands heavily impacted her life and she would be a completely different person if she had not married them.
"All of my three husbands definitely took me down paths that I probably would not have gone down had I not married them," she said. (via Daily Mail UK)
Even though Fonda ventured out into the dating scene in between her marriages, the actress noted that her casual boyfriends didn't take her to "any new paths" and they didn't teach her anything new, leading her to get bored fast.
The reason behind it is that she feels like the type of person who always needed to learn, grow, and expand, something that her former lovers taught her.
Jane Fonda Relationship History
The "Barbarella" actress first got married in 1965 to a renowned name in the industry, Roger Vadim.
The two were considered as a power couple because Fonda is an actress while her ex-husband was an actor, screenwriter, and director.
Unfortunately, their relationship didn't last as they separated in 1973. Vadim died at the age of 72 in 2000 after battling cancer.
Jane Fonda tied the knot with her second husband Tom Hayden the same year. He was popularly known for being a political and social activist. The pair were married until 1990.
The "Grace and Frankie" star's last husband was Ted Turner. He was known for being a reporter on CNN as well as working for TBS. Aside from being a reporter, he also worked as a producer and philanthropist.
Their relationship only lasted for ten years as they divorced in 2001.
Jane Fonda Gives Advice for Broken Hearted People
Elsewhere in the interview, Fonda gave a piece of advice on how to deal with heartbreak.
The actress noted that she snaps a rubber band against her wrist whenever she's sad or angry. The reason behind it is that the sudden pain changes the neural pathways in a person's brain and would "help you kind of come out of it for a minute."
Regarding her future plans in her love life, the thrice-divorced star said she will no longer pursue any husbands in the future.
