Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde Appear Carefree Amid Director’s Messy Custody Battle
It seems like Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde's relationship is heating up as the couple was spotted out and about together this week.
According to Daily Mail UK, the two were photographed in New York City and they appeared to be carefree despite the filmmaker's messy custody battle with ex Jason Sudeikis.
They were seen twice with each other on the same day. Wilde can be seen wearing workout clothes as she said goodbye to the former One Direction member.
On the other hand, Styles sported a black hoodie with a print on the back, black shorts, a floral bag, and a pair of neon sneakers.
Later that day, the two, who changed their clothes into a more casual style, were photographed again around the West Village.
The "Don't Worry Darling" director sported a knitted yellow, white, and pink sweater paired with off-white pants.
The Grammy Award-winner singer donned a pair of pants, a white shirt, and a jacket with the text "Playdium Skate Club."
As they walked around the streets of New York City, an excited fan approached them.
Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis' Messy Custody Battle
Even though the director/actress appeared to be carefree during her recent outing, she's going through a court battle with her ex Jason Sudeikis.
The ex-couple had two children together named Otis and Daisy.
A few days ago, Wilde accused her ex of intentionally attempting to "embarrass" and "threaten" her after being served with legal documents while she was on stage at an event in front of a live audience.
Initially, the former couple had amicable custody and co-parenting agreement until the actress planned to move to London, United Kingdom, where her current boyfriend resides.
Earlier this week, Wilde had a win after a judge ruled that Otis and Daisy's home state is California, not New York which was first petitioned by Sudeikis.
The actor and his ex started dating around 2011 until their split in 2020.
Since breaking up, they have been co-parenting their children and sharing custody of the two kids by alternating one-week periods of "parental access."
They reportedly had a disagreement in April about where the two kids will be raised permanently. The situation led Sudeikis to serve his ex-girlfriend's custody papers.
In May, Wilde filed for a motion to dismiss the action where she claimed that they originally agreed to send the kids to school in Los Angeles, California because the actor was set to film "Ted Lasso" in London.
However, the Apple TV series star changed his decision, saying he wanted the kids to go to New York when he's not working.
"When I did not agree, since the children have not lived in New York for several years, Jason filed these papers," Wilde's court documents read.
As of this writing, their custody battle has not yet been settled.
