Wendy Williams Boycotting Sherri Shepherd? Embattled Host Wants A-List Friends To Do THIS
Wendy Williams already declared she would not watch Sherri Shepherd's new series - which replaced her "The Wendy Williams Show."
While Williams is yet to relaunch her career officially, she reportedly has plans to bring down Shepherd and her series. Aside from refusing to watch the show herself, the embattled talk show host is reportedly doing her best to make her famous friends not support the new show.
A source told The Sun that Williams has been contacting her friends to make them boycott the show.
"Wendy has been calling her friends and saying don't go on the Sherri show and don't promote it," the insider said. "The thing is Wendy thinks she has this loyalty, but at the end of the day- no one is going to turn Sherri down."
She also reportedly talked to her "Real Housewives" friends to join her plans.
However, it was noted that Williams' friends would still appear on "Sherri," which will premiere on September 12.
But despite that, Nick Cannon seemingly agreed to Williams as he turned down his request to promote Shepherd's new show due to his "loyalty" to the host.
"Nick Cannon would not endorse her out of allegiance to Wendy," a separate source told Page Six at the time. "He wasn't cool with how they handled him and how they abruptly canceled his show and hustled everyone out of there and took their computers and s**t."
Wendy Williams Will NOT Watch Sherri Shepherd's Show
The tips came out months after Williams herself said that she would not watch Shepherd's project.
She told Fat Joe that she always imagined how fun it would be to talk about her return. However, her show was scrapped instead.
"I won't be watching her because I know what she'll be doing, and that's not really my thing ... you know what I'm saying? But I love, I love being on my own show. And I love that people love to watch it, you know, all the time," she said.

Meanwhile, Shepherd responded through Instagram Live that she heard Williams' comments and said it was okay. She also asked everyone to pray for the host after everything she went through in the past months.
For what it's worth, Williams has been ill for months already. In fact, it was the reason why she lost her show. Most recently, she was seen walking barefoot and only wearing a Versace bathrobe in her building lobby, with the photos' source said she looked frail and confused in the photos that have since gone viral.
