Late followers of the "Breaking Bad" series, be warned. In the season finale of the spinoff "Better Call Saul", fans are delighted to find THIS character back in a surprise cameo on the series.

Since "Breaking Bad's" season 5 finale in 2013, Betsy Brandt finally makes her comeback in "Better Call Saul"s season finale as Marie Schrader. Betsy's character is the grieving widow of Hank Schrader and sister-in law of Walter White from the original series. The season finale aired on August 15.

In her cameo episode, Brandt was able to get justice for her character's late husband, Hank, for his death in "Breaking Bad". In a recent interview with Variety, the 49 year old actor gave her in-depth thoughts and experience in reprising her role as Marie.

"Oh my God, it was an absolute pleasure. It wasn't something that I thought I'd get to do. When you're finished, you're finished. That's usually how it goes... It was like putting on your favorite sweater that you forgot how much you loved. I've missed her." Brandt gushed about her role.

Marie Schrader's Character Development

Brandt also expressed that her character had grown remarkably since "Breaking Bad", and that the development was everything she had envisioned for her character. The actress passionately recalled her feelings on portraying Marie for the season finale.

"Marie's so tightly wound, and she still is, but she's determined and she wants to do right by Hank." Marie explained. "That is what really guides her. Not 'What would Hank do?' but 'What would Hank think of what I'm doing?' Their love story in the show is really beautiful, and it was wonderful to get to honor that."

Fans Are Delighted in Marie's Surprise Cameo

Collider reports that the latest season finale succeeded as the most watched AMC episode with 2.7 million viewers since the "Better Call Saul" season 4 finale, which garnered 1.8 million viewers. Fans took to Twitter to express their positive thoughts on the episode and Marie's performance.

Starring Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, "Better Call Saul" first aired in 2015. The series has received critical acclaim and has been dubbed as a worthy successor to "Breaking Bad"
