Joe E. Tata, who famously starred in "Beverly Hills, 90210," died. He was 85.

Tata's co-star in the hit flick, Ian Ziering, first confirmed the actor's death on Thursday through an Instagram post. He noted that it had been a tough time for the "Beverly Hills, 90210" family as Tata's passing happened after the whole cast and crew learned about the deaths of two other members - Denise Dowse and Jessica Klein.

"I remember seeing him on the Rockford Files with James Garner years before we worked together on 90210. He was often one of the background villains in the original Batman series," Ziering recalled.

He also described his co-star as one of the happiest people he ever worked with, adding that Tata was generous with wisdom and kindness when he was still alive.

Ziering went on to declare that Tata became a leading force in the drama and an inspiration to the viewers.

Tata's other fans and colleagues also paid tribute to him and sent heartfelt messages of condolences to the family.

His family and representatives are yet to release an official statement regarding his death. But PEOPLE noted that, Joe. E Tata's cause of death was due to Alzheimer's Disease.

In October 2021, his daughter Kelly created a GoFundMe page to support his medical bills. She revealed that her father's death worsened in 2014.

The devastating news came when Tata was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2018.

The New York City native actor started his career through his roles in notable series, including "General Hospital," "Mister Roberts," and "The Outer Limits."

He reached the peak of success in the 1970s and 1980s when Tata was tapped to be part of several cop dramas like "The Streets of San Francisco," "Mannix," "Adam-12," and "The F.B.I."

Although he had a long list of projects, his role in the "Beverly Hills, 90210" led him to the spotlight. He starred as the owner of the Peach Pit in the drama for 10 seasons.

The series also starred Gabrielle Carteris, Luke Perry, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, and Shannen Doherty, to name a few.

Before his death, he was still able to appear in the ABC Family's "Mystery Girls." After his appearance, his health started to decline.
