Is rapper Chris Brown retiring from music?

The Grammy winner tweeted on Aug. 6 and hinted that his upcoming album may be the last we hear from him.

"Don't worry mainstream America. After thisX album, it'll probably be my last album," E! News reported Brown wrote.

The rapper later reportedly tweeted, "Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool & over it!"

The last tweet could be in reference to the 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend and fellow musician Rihanna.

Both tweets have since been deleted. They come just a day after Breezy was booked in connection to a hit-and-run case after turning himself in.

On May 21 the artist was accused of hitting a California woman's car and allegedly refusing to give his driver's license number. Brown then reportedly left the scene of the accident.

E! News reported that according to the booking report obtained from the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department, at 2:40 p.m. on Monday Brown arrived and was released only less than an hour later.

A judge revoked Brown's felony probation stemming from the 2009 assault just last month and set a probation violation hearing for Aug. 18.

The rapper's sixth album he's referring to in his tweet, entitled X, is reportedly schedule to come out on Aug. 20.
