Marilyn Monroe's Last Hours Before Death Witnessed By THIS Last Surviving Secret Keeper
Marilyn Monroe's death still piques people's curiosity decades after the actress-singer died.
Fans of Monroe remain shocked after the famed model suddenly passed away decades ago. They are reminded of the tragedy again when Netflix dropped the documentary, "The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes."
The flick is based on Anthony Summers' book, "Goddess: The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe." The author said he knows that the actress died of an accidental overdose. However, he reveals that one of her surviving friends knows the secret behind her last moments.
Monroe's former press agent, Pat Newcomb, can reportedly answer the lingering questions about her death, per Summers.
After the release of the hit documentary, he talked to The Sun and opened up about the "unanswered questions" about her passing.
He said: "She always been courteous - yet told me little or nothing at all about the actress's relationship with the Kennedys and the events of her last hours. Newcomb has said two things, one, that my book gets things about right, and two, that she herself has 'forgotten' the details."
Summers then insisted that Newcomb's memory is not actually as shaky as she claims.
Currently, the now-92-year-old press agent resides in Los Angeles.
Marilyn Monroe Died Earlier Than Reported Time of Death?
During the same interview, the journalist said that Monroe possibly died hours before the official time of death report. According to Summers, the "missing" time allowed the handlers to clear evidence that could lead to the Kennedy brothers.
For what it's worth, Monroe kept her relationships with former President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert F. Kennedy a secret. But she once planned to announce the secret about it when she decided to reconcile with her husband, Joe DiMaggio.
The documentary asked him if the recordings of Monroe and the Kennedy brothers still exist. Unfortunately, he believes that they might have been destroyed already after Bobby's passing.
Although the official cause of death stated that she died of a barbiturate overdose. Summers also talked to West Coast psychiatrist Dr. Ralph Greenson's widow, Hildi, and disclosed that the doctor probably had knowledge of events.
Instead of murder, he probably had evidence that could lead to Kennedys.
Monroe's death indeed sparked several theories, including murder. She was found lying naked on her bed with her face down in 1962.
