Florence Pugh NOT Attending ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Press Conference in Venice; Here’s Why
Olivia Wilde's trending "Don't Worry Darling" will have a press conference at this year's Venice International Film Festival, but one of the main cast members, Florence Pugh will be skipping the event; what could be the reason?
According to sources who spoke to People Magazine, the "Midsommar" actress will be flying into Italy from the set of "Dune: Part Two" as she is one of the stars that will appear in the film.
The reason why she won't be attending the upcoming press conference is because of her schedule as she won't land in the country until after the media event.
Despite her absence, fans should still expect her at the film festival as she would be walking the red carpet for the movie premiere.
Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde Feuding Amid 'Don't Worry Darling's Highly-Anticipated Release?
The recent news comes after Pugh's alleged issue with director Olivia Wilde as there have been several reports online about them not being on good terms.
Many alleged that Styles reportedly earned more money than the actress despite both of them being lead co-stars.
Wilde broke her silence in an interview with Variety and revealed the truth behind her and the actress.
The director blamed the issue to "clickbait" and noted that the "subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors" upsets her.

She added that she's been working in the film industry for over two decades now and as a woman, pay disparity is something that she has fought for herself and others.
"There is absolutely no validity to those claims," she added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Wilde praised Pugh for her acting and revealed that she had seen her film "Midsommar" in 2019 where she was "blown away" by her skills.
The director said she loved the film as the actress is "extraordinary" and she's one of the most exciting young actresses in the industry today.
The reason why she loves her so much is because of her "youthfulness" and "innocence" that made sense for the story of "Don't Worry Darling."
The film will premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 5. Fans can watch its theatrical release starting September 23.
Aside from Wilde, Styles, and Pugh, other cast members include Sydney Chandler, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Kiki Layne, Douglas Smith, and many more.
