Queen Elizabeth II Sparks Major Health Concerns With Photos of Her Blue Hand
Queen Elizabeth II seemingly started showing physical signs of her deteriorating health.
Royal fans are now more worried about Queen Elizabeth II's well-being despite being able to show up during her meeting with Prime Minister Liz Truss.
On Tuesday, the monarch summoned Britain's new prime minister to her Balmoral Castle. She then asked the leader to form a new government following Boris Johnson's resignation. Unfortunately, the special meeting was overshadowed by the dark blue bruise spotted on her right hand.
New York Post and other news outlets shared copies of the photos of the meeting, zooming in on the 96-year-old's hand while trying to shake hands with Truss.
Royal fans took their worries on Twitter, asking whether the Queen remains in good shape amid the health fears. They also noted that they saw Prince Philip having similar bruising before his death.
Buoy Health explains the six common causes of blue hands, saying that the health issue can occur because of pulmonary embolism, Raynaud's Phenomenon, pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, and peripheral artery disease.
However, one fan took the worries away by saying that people can have blue hands if they are already old.
"My mom and dad's hands went like that, I think it's to do with the skin becoming thinner with age and therefore more susceptible to bruises," it said.
Queen Elizabeth II "Dying" Before the Public's Eyes
Following the emergence of the photo, a royal expert said that Queen Elizabeth II's photos only prove that she is "fading away before our very eyes."
In an op-ed for Australian outlet News.com.AU in June, Daniela Elser highlighted the alarming signs of the Queen's deteriorating health during her meeting with New South Wales Governor Margaret Beazley.
She said that the images looked unremarkable compared with her status during her June 2021 meeting with former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Queen Elizabeth II's health has been taking over the headlines since last year. After Prince Philip's death, she seemingly began suffering different issues she was forced to rely on her walking stick for the first time in 17 years.
A royal insider said that she only opted to use it for comfort, but more health issues happened. She has also been missing royal engagements due to mobility problems. In fact, she also missed the highly-anticipated Platinum Jubilee festivities due to "discomfort."
