Jennifer Lawrence Admits Real Reason for Family Divide: 'Their Life Is Different'
"The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence gets vulnerable about the real reason for the divide among her family members and what their difference in beliefs mean to her now.
The 32 year old actress opened up in a recent interview with Vogue for their October edition. Lawrence talked about her life amidst motherhood and mentioned that she was "in a mood" due to the recent Supreme Court decision on abortion. The actress had undergone two miscarriages way back during her early 20s.
The "Silver Linings Playbook" star later on opened up about political differences between her family and how the 2016 election affected her and their relationship afterward.
"I don't want to disparage my family, but I know that a lot of people are in a similar position with their families. How could you raise a daughter from birth and believe that she doesn't deserve equality? How?" Lawrence expressed.
Lawrence grew up in Louisville, Kentucky alongside her relatives and father. According to the star, the 2016 election caused a messy divide amongst her relatives, which has not been resolved even up to now. Lawrence's relatives in Kentucky are reportedly supporters of MAGA.
The "Don't Look Up" actress also admitted that she had been having "recurring nightmares" about Tucker Carlson. The Fox News host has been a known criticizer of political figures Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. In 2017, he also called Lawrence as "out of touch" for campaigning on climate change, and criticizing Donald Trump.

Jennifer's Political Stance
Lawrence, recalling her complicated family feud, emphasized the need for people to choose a side or at least care about politics. The 32 year old actress was a known supporter of Hillary Clinton, and publicly campagined for her back in 2016.
"I've tried to get over it and I really can't. I can't. I'm sorry I'm just unleashing, but I can't fuck with people who aren't political anymore. You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It's too dire. Politics are killing people." Lawrence expressed.
How Motherhood Changed Her
Lawrence also mentioned that her passion and stance on politics heightened after becoming a mother. She and husband Cooke Maroney welcomed their first child, Cy, in February this year.
Lawrence and Maroney started dating back in 2018 and. After the two announced their engagement in February 2019, they tied the knot in October during the same year.
