More than a decade after the release of Disney's "Enchanted," many fans have been wondering what the next chapter would be for Giselle. Avid viewers don't have to wait anymore as the media giant finally announced the long-awaited sequel.

Titled "Disenchanted," the fairytale film will be available for streaming starting on November 24 exclusively on Disney+.

According to Insider, many fans have been waiting for this moment as the movie was first announced during Disney Investor Day two years ago.

Original Characters Set to Reprise Their Roles

Patrick Dempsey teased fans about the sequel the following month, confirming that he would be reprising his role as Robert Philip, the protagonist's love interest.

Aside from him, Amy Adams will also be starring again as Giselle, the girl who fell into a magical well in Andalasia. Upon falling into the abyss of darkness, she found herself in the busy streets of New York City.

James Marsden and Idina Menzel would also reprise their fan-favorite roles.

Fans are eager to watch the sequel as Dempsey confirmed to Variety that he will be singing and dancing for the first time in his decades-long career.

Speaking about returning to the movie, he said it's exciting to act along with his former co-stars again after 14 years.

"We need those romantic comedies and those musicals to get people out of the doldrums that we're in," he said.

He added that there's a "reason" why he never sang in public, but he hopes fans would love his voice in the movie as he's set to perform "really fun" songs and choreography.

New Actors to Join 'Disenchanted'

New faces will be seen in the sequel movie as "Disenchanted's" storyline would be darker than the first one.

Deadline reported that the film's villain would be comedian Maya Rudolph who confirmed her role in a tweet, writing, "What's a good fairy tale without a great villain? I'll see you in Andalasia my pretties...."

Other newly-cast actors are Kolton Stewart and Oscar Nunez who became famous for his appearance in "The Office."

Gabby Baldacchino will be playing the role of Giselle and Robert's daughter Morgan, making it her first acting gig in a feature film.

The official synopsis of the movie noted that the couple has already left New York City to move into a new home.
