After Queen Elizabeth II's death, rumors about Prince Harry's alleged biological father reemerged.

For years, the buzz has been suggesting that Prince William is the only child of King Charles III and Princess Diana, as Prince Harry is reportedly the late Princess of Wales' child with former British Army Major James Hewitt.

King Charles III married Princess Diana in July 1981. They welcomed Prince William and Prince Harry in 1984, respectively. Meanwhile, Hewitt said he met the late Princess of Wales in 1985 during a dinner party, debunking the claims as the meeting happened a year after Prince Harry was born.

But several sources, including author Nicholas Davies, disclosed that Hewitt was seen at Kensington Palace several times in 1983 before the Duke of Sussex was born.

Hewitt famously gave the royal princess riding lessons, but they fell in love eventually.

The rumors about Hewitt being Prince Harry's real father became more prominent when Princess Diana penned a 1989 letter about their relationship.

"I have lain awake at night loving you desperately and thanking god for bringing you into my life ... I just long for the days when we finally will be together for always, as that is how it should be," she wrote.

Princess Diana also admitted being unfaithful when her marriage with King Charles III started falling apart.

According to Davies, only a few friends and security knew about Princess Diana's affair with Hewitt before Prince Harry was born. She was not sure whether King Charles III or Hewitt was his father, but she ultimately suspected the latter.

King Charles III Is NOT Prince Harry's Father?

Aside from the affair story, several photo evidence also surface, suggesting that Hewitt is indeed Prince Harry's biological father.

Yahoo! News shared photo evidence comparing Hewitt and Prince Harry in their 30s while playing polo. The news outlet also added King Charles III's picture to show how the Duke of Sussex looked similar to Hewitt.

Their side profiles also have similar features, including their red hair.

Despite the emergence of the allegations, Hewitt denied it multiple times in different interviews.

In 2022, he told Sunday Mirror that he never encouraged the comparisons and that he was confident he is not Prince Harry's father as he met Princess Diana when her son was already a toddler.

Princess Diana's bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, and butler Paul Burrell both dismissed the claims, as well.
