Lea Michele returned to the Glee recording studio Monday, little more than three weeks since the July 13 death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith, and described the new music she was working on via Twitter.

"Couldn't have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with," Michele, 26, tweeted Monday.

Leaving the recording studio, Michele was spotted wearing a sentimental necklace: a simple silver medallion on a chain and its ornament read "Cory." The first two episodes of season five will be Beatles-themed while the third episode will be a tribute to Monteith, Enstars previously reported. Proceeds from the music sales for the third episode will go toward a fund in the late actor's memory, Us Weekly reported.

FOX Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly announced at the TCA Tour panel on Aug. 1 that Monteith's character, Finn Hudson, will be written out of the show and the storyline will "deal directly with the incidents involved in Cory's passing and drug abuse in particular." Michele may have been recording music on Monday for the special episode.

The show's executive music producer, Adam Anders, tweeted her on Monday after the recording session, "you are the strongest person I know. That was truly amazing. Love you xoxo #leastrong."

Alex Anders, Glee's vocal producer and recording engineer, also tweeted Michele a message, saying, "You were absolutely magnificent today. I am in awe of your strength and your sweet spirit. Love you. #leastrong."

Glee season 5 premieres Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. Monteith's tribute is planned for the Oct. 10 episode.

Monteith died at the age of 31 after he was found unconscious in his Vancouver hotel room from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol. He spent a month in rehab in April but a source close to Michele told the magazine she "didn't know" he had relapsed.
