Cameron Diaz's last film, "Annie", dates back to 2014. The actress eventually announced her retirement from acting in 2018 to focus on her personal life and family. The actress married Benji Madden in 2015 and share their daughter Raddix whom they welcomed four years after.

True Feelings on Working With Jamie Foxx

"Back in Action" will mark Cameron Diaz's acting comeback and reunion with co-star Jamie Foxx from their work together in 1999 for the sporting drama "Any Given Sunday" and on "Annie" in 2014, which was Diaz's last film before retiring.

As the one who was able to convince the "Bad Teacher" star to come out of her retirement, Diaz also shared her thoughts on working alongside Jamie Foxx in the upcoming Netflix film.

"The last movie I made was Annie with Jamie, and so the first movie back is this film with Jamie. He's so great, he's so easy, he's so professional, he's so talented, and just being able to work with him." the veteran actress expressed. "It will be so much fun."

Foxx has openly expressed his own excitement on working together with co-star Cameron Diaz, even referring to her as "the GOAT" which means "greatest of all time".

The action comedy film, which will be directed and co-written by Seth Gordon and Brendan O'Brien, is set to start production this year. As of now, the storyline has been kept under wraps by Netflix.
