Johnny Depp Innocent: Camille Vasquez Says Actor Was 'Incapable' of Abusing Amber Heard Because of THIS
Camille Vasquez expressed how confused she felt when she learned Amber Heard's abuse accusation against Johnny Depp.
Depp and Heard's defamation trial highlighted the skills of the actor's star lawyer, Vasquez, one of the people who helped him win the case. Although it has been months since the defamation trial ended, talks about the estranged couple reemerged following the release of "Johnny vs. Amber: The US Trial," the documentary's part one.
The documentary shared never-before-known details and revelations about the case, including Vasquez questioning Heard's claims.
In part one, the lawyer shared how confused she was when Heard claimed "drunk and high" Depp abused her. According to her, she never understood how heavy drinkers and substance abusers function at all.
"That's one part of the case I've never understood. He's either drunk and high and incapable of standing up, or he's drunk and high and able to attack her, chase her, land blows? It just doesn't make sense," she said, as quoted by Marca.
The court heard several accusations against the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, specifically the incidents when he was drunk and high.
Abuse Accusations Against Johnny Depp
One of the highlights of the defamation trial and the libel case in the UK included a video of "drunk" Johnny Depp while fighting with Heard.
The video in question began with the actor screaming "Motherf*cker!" and kicking the cabinet door repeatedly. He slammed doors and walked around the kitchen while Heard was trying to ask him what had happened.
In one part of the clip, the actor emptied a bottle of red wine into an enormous crystal glass before throwing the empty bottle away. The "Aquaman" actress asked him whether he drank that morning, but Depp snatched the phone instead after catching her filming the scene.
The news outlet that obtained the video said it was allegedly recorded before the incident on May 21 of the same year -- when Depp reportedly terrorized and beat Heard.
Morgan Tremaine, a former staff of the news outlet, testified during the defamation trial and offered scathing comments against Heard, her lawyers, and supporters.
He voluntarily appeared before the court and disclosed that he received a Dropbox link through an e-mail with the same video. He debunked the actress's statement, saying they were asked to put a watermark on it to make it look like they recorded it themselves.
It turned out that Heard was the copyright owner of the TMZ video.
