Author Jordan Peterson responds to Olivia Wilde basing the villain of "Don't Worry Darling" off on him.

Jordan Peterson is a psychologist and author who rose to prominence due to his views on the patriarchy. Known for his "conservative" views, Peterson shares his criticism on various topics on his Youtube account, where he drew controversy after criticizing the new wave of "political correctness".

Director Olivia Wilde recently revealed in an Interview cover story that the villain in her latest film, "Don't Worry Darling", was based on the renowned psychologist. The villain of the film named Frank, portrayed by Chris Pine, is the founder of a utopian 1950s community called the "Victory Project. Wilde referred to Peterson as a "pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community".

Jordan Peterson's Emotional Reaction

In a recent episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored", the "Beyond Order" author reacted to Olivia Wilde's comment on him as the villain of "Don't Worry Darling". Peterson acknowledged that he has been surrounded by controversy for his views.

"Sure, why not. People have been after me for a long time because I've been speaking to disaffected young men - what a terrible thing to do, that is." Peterson says prior to tearing up. "I thought the marginalized were supposed to have a voice. It's very difficult to understand how demoralized people are, and certainly many young men are in that category.

Wilde's Comment 'Didn't Bother' Peterson

However, despite his emotional reaction to Olivia's portrayal of him in "Don't Worry Darling", the 60-year-old author calls the comment "low-level". Peterson went on to say that the comments didn't really bother him.

"As far as critiques go, that was kind of low-level," he said. "When Olivia Wilde made those comments, the first thing I did was go look at the preview for her movie, which I quite liked. I thought I would go see that movie, probably, and perhaps I will. It didn't really bother me."

Despite Peterson being the inspiration for the main antagonist, he expressed that he would probably still watch the film. "Don't Worry Darling" has garnered praise among fans since its nationwide premiere on September 23, garnering a whopping $19.2 million at the domestic box office during its first week.
