Nicki Minaj: Ghostwriter Ransom Claim is False, 'I Rap Better Than Him' [VIDEO]
Nicki Minaj had a scathing response to rumors that former associate Ransom wrote some of her songs.
"I rap better than him. Who the f**k is he? Crazy," Minaj told a TMZ videographer recently.
Ransom appeared alongside Minaj on of her past mixtapes -- Playtime Is Over and Sucka Free -- before the Queens native developed into the superstar she is today. In late July, Minaj's former collaborator released the song Man Alone, which hinted that in the past he wrote songs for Young Money Entertainment's only female emcee.
"Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her just hoping she made it big," Ransom rapped.
Minaj seemed to be unaware of the song and its claim that Ransom was once her ghostwriter, until the TMZ reporter mentioned it to her. The High School immediately denied her former colleague's allegation and reiterated that she was responsible for all her lyrics.
"I'm undisputed because I'm the only female rapper that day one...I don't need no [expletive] ghostwriter," she said. "So if you're telling that lie you must be real fu**ing desperate."
Minaj said she hadn't been in touch with Ransom for five years, and his comments were an attempt to draw attention to his music, which she claimed is "wack."

There are also rumors circulating that Minaj is also feuding with another of her associates: Drake. Minaj appeared on New York's Hot 97 radio station on July 29 and spoke to host Funkmaster Flex about Drake's recent distance from the Young Money crew.
During the interview she addressed what she deemed subliminal shots the Canadian rapper took at her on some of his songs.
"I've never taken that personal," she said. "When you are in a place where Drake is, which is everybody is asking him for a hook or a feature, it is what it is. He's speaking the truth. Whether he's taking that as a compliment or not, I don't know. He's speaking the truth and I think he's speaking about every damn body. I'm not exempt from that and neither is anyone else."

Since Minaj's interview, Drake has rebuked claims that he's on bad terms with his crew. He performed with his label boss Lil Wayne at his OVO Fest tour in Toronto on Monday night and said he would be a part of Young Money forever, however, he did not mention Minaj in any of his comments.
