Royal Heartbreak: King Charles III Desperate for Reconciliation With Prince Harry
King Charles III remains hopeful that his relationship with Prince Harry can still be fixed.
While King Charles III will push to slim down the monarchy now that he is the reigning king, he still wants to be a father to his children, especially Prince Harry. With that, he is desperate to fix his relationship with him - but he never gets a chance to do so.
Vanity Fair's royal correspondent Katie Nicholl recently released her book, "The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown," where she claimed King Charles III is devastated by his status with his youngest son.
She also shared a similar sentiment in an interview with Fox News Digital.
"I think Charles has been devastated by how things have spiraled. And he is hopeful that there will be a reconciliation. I think we saw that in the very... public olive branches that were extended to Harry and Meghan," Nicholl said.
She noted the first speech he offered after Queen Elizabeth II's death, during which he expressed his love for his son and his wife, Meghan Markle.
As for Queen Consort Camilla, Nicholl said Prince Harry's relationship with his stepmother was also not that ideal as he met her with silence.
King Charles III Almost Fixed Relationship With Prince Harry
The recent report came after a source told The Telegraph that King Charles III was hopeful that things would finally get better between Prince Harry and him. He also wanted his son to fix his relationship with other royal family members since he still loves his child after the things he did against the monarchy.
The Duke of Sussex, however, took a step away again when he discovered how King Charles III did not want to see Meghan during the Queen's funeral since he thought it would be inappropriate.
The king also invited him for dinner whenever he jets back to the country. But OK! Magazine said the Duke of Sussex could not eat with his father and Prince William because he was too furious.
Queen Elizabeth II's death was reportedly a chance for them to end the royal feuds. But according to Nicholl, they all missed the opportunity to reconcile.
Unfortunately, this could worsen as Prince Harry plans to release his modified memoir soon after postponing it following the Queen's death.
