Tiffany Haddish Speaks Out After Dropped Sexual Abuse Suit: 'I Am So Much Better Off'
Comedian Tiffany Haddish celebrates in a tweet following the dropped legal allegations against her and Aries Spears.
In a recent controversy, two unnamed minors filed a lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears, claiming that the two comedians allegedly instigated sexual abuse videos in 2013 and 2014 involving two unnamed minors, separately.
Fortunately for the two accused, the plaintiff requested the judge to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning that the complaint cannot be filed again.
Tiffany Haddish Shares Gratitude Message
Almost a month following the dropped lawsuit, Tiffany Haddish finally speaks out and shares her gratitude to fans on twitter. In her recent tweet, the comedian expressed that while the lawsuit had made her question the events in her life, she shares her gratitude as she is now in a better place.
"God has been redecorating my life lately and I must say at 1st I was very uncomfortable. But I see where he is going with it and I am so much better off." Tiffany wrote in a tweet. "Thank You God! You are the best at getting rid of the mess. ( and when I say mess you know who and what I mean God)"
Additionally, Haddish has deleted her past Instagram post wherein she addressed the allegations against her, and that she could not answer any questions as there was an ongoing legal case that held her back from doing so at the time.
Reason Behind Dropped Lawsuit
After the plaintiff had requested the court's judge to dismiss the sexual abuse allegations against Haddish and Spears, according to a statement obtained by TMZ, one of the unnamed minors, under the pseudonym Jane Doe, stated:
"My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years - and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us."
Initially, Haddish's attorney, Andrew Brettler, had been vocal about the "meritless" claims against their client from the start. Similarly, Spears' lawyer, Debra Opri, also stated that their client was not "going to fall for any shakedown".
