The WWE world extended its messages of condolences to Kevin Nash and his family following the sudden death of his son, Tristen Nash.
Fightful's wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp confirmed the saddening news after receiving a confirmation from Nash's family. He shared the "very unfortunate news" as he also sent love to the bereaved family.
Their statement says: "On behalf of Kevin and Tamara Nash, I have to unfortunately report that their son Tristen Nash has tragically passed away at the age of 26. Tristen recently started working on Kevin's new podcast and the two enjoyed their time together. The Nash family asks if you could please respect their privacy during this time."
He did not disclose Tristen Nash's cause of death. It remains unknown whether he died in an accident or a health issue, or if he died peacefully in his sleep.
He was the only child of his parents, Kevin and Tamara. His mother was pregnant with him when the wrestler left WWE for WCW in 1996. At that time, Kevin openly said that his son inspired him to seek a better opportunity to support his family.
Details about the funeral and memorial are not yet available to the public.
Tristen had been working with his father on the wrestler's "Kliq This" podcast where Sean Oliver also appears.
Following the news, internet users took their time to pay tribute to the young man and send their heartfelt messages to his survivors.
Tristen's death happened on the day of Scott Hall's birthday. The late wrestler served as Kevin's tag team partner.
What Happened to Scott Hall?
Hall would have celebrated his supposed 64th birthday on Thursday if he was still alive,
The WWE superstar died at the age of 63 in March following his tough health battle after undergoing hip surgery. Hall suffered three heart attacks due to complications, leading him to be admitted to the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Legendary promoter Jerry Jarrett disclosed during that time that he needed to undergo the procedure following a fall, but Hall failed to fully recover when a blood clot developed, leading his doctors to put him on life support.
His family eventually decided to have the life support removed and announced his death to the fans.
Before his fatal health issue, Hall already had a defibrillator and a pacemaker installed in his chest to help him with his heart condition. He also suffered from pneumonia and epilepsy years ago.
