Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's marriage has recently been under scrutiny.

A relationship specialist believes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made his supermodel wife feel "neglected and unwanted" amid divorce rumors.

Jo Hemmings believes their crisis-affected marriage might end in a matter of days, and that what is going on in their relationship right now is a wake-up call for the pair.

She feels it's because the couple has resorted to shutting one other off as a result of Tom's erratic behavior in his profession, which has made his wife feel unwanted.

According to the relationship expert who spoke to The Sun, Tom and Gisele may be doomed if they do not address their difficulties as soon as possible.

This is because partnerships fail when both parties withdraw within themselves, internalizing their issues, feeling obstinate, angry, and wounded, and growing more apart by the day.

Jo went on to say that sometimes relationships fail simply because it's too late to restore them.

"Tom and Gisele - especially with a young family - would be well-advised to seek professional treatment to optimize their chances of salvaging their marriage if at all feasible," Jo said of the high-profile celebs.

Jo believes that the only way to salvage their marriage is through "good communication, where sentiments may be spoken frankly and candidly."

"If one or both spouses have spent most of their adult lives putting their professions first, it might come as a bit of a wake-up call when they realize that they need, or even want, to find the time to incorporate family life in that established pattern," she says of Tom.

When Tom leaves football, he may feel uncomfortable without the validation and fulfillment of job, as he may lose his sense of purpose and fear that others will take the positions they believe were apparently meant for him.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's 13-year marriage encountered a snag when the celebrity player chose to return to sports.

It was claimed last month that he and Gisele had a huge fight over his unwillingness to retire, despite having announced his retirement in February.

Despite his marital problems, the athlete dismissed all speculations and speculation about his NFL future.

Tom restated his commitmentto play the whole season for the Buccaneers in a news conference on Thursday.

"No retirement in my future, that's really why I'm here."
