Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Consistency Questioned, Netflix Will Not Give In To Their Demands
Things aren't looking good for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix deal.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as widely reported, are requesting revisions to their documentary series in light of Queen Elizabeth II's untimely death.
A royal analyst claims that the streaming behemoth is hesitant to censor. According to the "Royally Us" podcast presenter, Netflix does not want to succumb to Prince Harry's requests for big alterations to the docu-series.
Co-host Christine Ross stated that the pair is struggling to convey a cohesive story, citing the amount of projects the couple is juggling and Meghan Markle's frequent magazine appearances.
She also stated that Lilibet and Archie's parents are likely to be afraid of being fact-checked by royal viewers if the series is released on the site.
The royal expert's remarks come in the wake of contradictory rumors over whether Netflix would debut Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary series this December or next year.
According to a report by Deadline on Monday, the program has been delayed until next year due to a succession of negative reactions to the forthcoming season of the drama series "The Crown."
However, Page Six then stated in another story that the platform demands for the series to be postponed. Netflix will, however, proceed with the December premiere.
"Multiple sources" revealed to the magazine that the series' creators were perplexed by claims that Prince Harry's impending biography contradicts what he stated on camera.
One Netflix insider told the site last week that much of the show contradicted what Prince William's younger brother had written, which sparked outrage.
"Then, for their own initiative, Harry and Meghan made major demands to retract information they had contributed."
