Olivia Wilde's Dog Controversy Following Former Nanny's Allegations Finally Explained
What happened to Gordon, Olivia Wilde's dog, amidst their former nanny's press leak?
Olivia Wilde and her former husband Jason Sudeikis have been the subject of controversial headlines since their split in 2020. However, the plot thickens as the former nanny of their two children, who was reportedly a woman named Erika Genaro, leaked some controversial allegations against the former couple amidst their divorce.
Former Nanny's Claims About Olivia Wilde's Dog
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail UK, the former nanny alleges that Olivia Wilde asked her to give away their dog, a Golden Retriever named Gordon to free up more time for her new boyfriend Harry Styles amidst the split with Jason Sudeikis.
"After [Wilde] left [at the start of November 2020], she came for a visit and said, "we have to find Gordon a new home", nonchalantly. Jason doesn't really care for animals and wanted him out of their home asap," The former nanny alleged. "Jason said Olivia only had the dog for appearances anyway. She rarely cared for Gordon or Paco, the dog she had before. It was myself and others who cared for the dogs."

What Really Happened to Gordon the Golden Retriever
A recent Instagram post from Maedae Rescue, where Gordon was originally adopted from, sets the record straight on what really happened to Olivia Wilde's Golden retriever.
According to the Los Angeles-based dog rescue organization, Gordon had been rehomed to Olivia's dog walker who had formed a bond with the Golden Retriever, after Wilde consulted Maedae Rescue with the decision.
"Gordy was adopted to @oliviawilde at 2 months old and after giving him much love and training and travel adventures, she realized that Gordy didn't love the travel life and wasn't happy around toddlers." They explained in the post. "Gordy had formed a very strong bond with his dog walker and in Gordy's best interest and after much thought and consideration, he was rehomed to his Brooklyn dog walker."
Additionally, the dog rescue organization went on to call Wilde a "huge animal rescue advocate" and thanked her for being a "responsible pet owner" as they did not want their fellow Maedae adopter to be painted in a bad light for the decision.
