Johnny Depp Spotted Wearing Captain Jack Sparrow Costume: Is He Back On 'Pirates of the Caribbean'?
Johnny Depp has been photographed dressed as his renowned "Pirates of the Caribbean" character, Captain Jack Sparrow.
However, it has been stated that he would never return to the franchise.
After the defamation trial story involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard concluded in June, there was conjecture about what might come next for both of them - but especially for Depp.
Would he return to his film career and re-enter the series after almost a million people signed a petition urging him to do so? Or would he concentrate on his music?
A spokesman for the actor stated that speculation about Depp resuming his role as Jack Sparrow began a few months ago.
During the high-profile trial, he was asked under oath, "If Disney came to you with $300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film?"
Depp then responded, "That is true."
But why was Johnny Depp seen impersonating his character?
It was part of the 59-year-old actor's surprise to a fan when he met with them, according to the Daily Mail.
While talking to his thrilled admirer in the iconic TikTok video, Depp adopted Jack's impaired speech patterns and began babbling about rum.
The positive conversation quickly went viral on social media, with followers applauding Depp for his change.
Fans were taken aback by his clean-shaven visage and even disregarded the video as not being of him.
However, when Depp began talking about his dead-on imitation of Jack Sparrow, it was evident that he was being himself.
In the past, the "Edward Scissorhands" star has been seen impersonating the pirate's famed voice and mannerisms for fans, as well as donning the iconic outfit to surprise youngsters in hospitals.
Depp once astonished attendees at Disneyland by appearing amid the waxwork characters on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" attraction.
This follows reports that Johnny Depp is ready to return to the franchise after being sacked in 2018.
Depp was the main character in all five films released in the previous 15 years, including "Dead Men Tell No Tales," which was released in 2017.
Depp lost a $22 million paycheck when his ex-wife Amber Heard penned an op-ed in the Washington Post in 2018 labeling him an abuser.
