Kevin Nash Heartbreak: WWE Star's Son Tristen's Cause of Death Revealed
The cause of death of Kevin Nash's son, Tristen, has been determined days after his untimely passing.
Nash's family confirmed Tristen's death in a statement to Fightful's wrestling reporter Sean Ross. The unfortunate news, however, did not reveal his cause of death.
But days after the tragic event happened, Kevin addressed his son's death in the podcast he and his son were working on before the latter died.
On the October 24 episode of "Kliq This Podcast," the WWE legend revealed that Tristen suffered cardiac arrest while having a seizure at the time of his passing. The health conditions are said to have occurred because of his withdrawal from alcohol.
"The seizure caused a cardiac arrest. He was basically dead in his room on the floor with an EMT working on him, and they got him back, got him in the ambulance, and tried to save his life. So, to the people at Halifax Hospital, doctors and nurses, I thank you," the wrestler said.
Kevin and Tristen decided to quit drinking together after the WWE star found out that his son had "four or five beers" and suffered several alcohol-related "incidents." One of which was being hospitalized due to alcoholism.
According to Healthline, alcohol withdrawal starts when the central nervous system becomes "overexcited" when a person reduces or stops drinking alcohol. Some of the symptoms can be severe and lead to death. Some of its initial effects include tremors, anxiety, headache, insomnia, sweating, and nausea.
Alcohol withdrawals can also cause hallucinations, delirium tremens, status epilepticus, and seizures - something Tristen went through.
Kevin Nash's Heartbreaking Losses
Aside from Tristen, Kevin also carried the world when his friend and tag team partner, Scott Hall, died.
For what it's worth, Tristen passed away on Hall's supposed birthday. During the same episode of the podcast, the wrestler called alcohol a nasty drug that took his loved ones away.
Hall died in March at the age of 63 after suffering complications due to his hip surgery. He faced three heart attacks that caused him to be admitted to the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he developed a blood clot.
He was eventually put on life support until his family decided to have it removed.
Despite the losses, Kevin said he does not feel alone because of the love and support from the wrestling community.
Details about Tristen's funeral and memorial remain unknown.
