More information concerning Leslie Jordan's death is being revealed.
It has now been revealed where he was travelling when he wrecked his BMW, after it was found that he was experiencing some pain in the weeks running up to his death.
TMZ reported that Leslie was going to do what he loved: perform and make people laugh in his final moments.
They reported that the actor-comedian died behind the wheel while driving to a shoot.
According to sources with knowledge of his demise, Leslie was supposed to film "Call Me Kat" on Monday morning. However, the show's staff got concerned when he did not come more than an hour after his call time.
Then, the production staff later panicked, trying to contact and look for Leslie, and it was later on that they all discovered he had been involved in a car accident.
Leslie Jordan was driving his BMW in Hollywood when detectives believe he had a medical emergency and smashed into a building side.
Insiders close to the actor revealed he complained of shortness of breath in the last three weeks and was so concerned about it that he scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist.
The appointment was scheduled for later this week.
Aside from that health condition, Leslie was allegedly in good health until she developed COVID in 2021.
While it's unknown if the checkup would have revealed any underlying health concerns for Leslie, detectives are leaning toward the assumption that he had a heart attack while driving to his destination.
Tributes Poured In For Leslie Jordan
Immediately upon his death, condolences flooded in for the 67-year-old veteran performer, including one from Dolly Parton, who stated that the phrase "they will be missed" "could not be more accurate."
"Leslie and I had a particular link, and I believe the rest of the world felt the same way about him."
Mayim Bialik, his "Call Me Kat" co-star, also paid homage to the actor, calling him as a "close mentor and valued friend."
She said, "I will miss him so much - it's unimaginable that he's gone. Rest well, sweet buddy."
The show's production has been paused in the aftermath of Leslie Jordan's death, and there is still no official cause of death.
