Sarah Jessica Parker Wardrobe Malfunction: Hugh Jackman Recalls 2004 Fiasco [WATCH]
Hugh Jackman and Sarah Jessica Parker are two of the known personalities in the theater industry, but both actors had a shocking experience almost two decades ago as the latter's dress almost had a malfunction during one of the biggest nights on Broadway.
According to People Magazine, the Australian native hosted the Tony Awards in 2004. At the time, he performed on stage as Peter Allen from the Broadway show "The Boy From Oz."
As he entertained the crowd, he pulled up the "Sex And The City" actress up on stage but things went badly when a major wardrobe malfunction happened because of her ballerina-inspired dress.
Speaking to Variety, the "Wolverine" actor said he felt for the actress that evening, before detailing what happened, saying, "As soon as she got up onstage, I could tell those boobs were about to come out."
Since her dress was already low cut around the chest area, one wrong move could have been an extremely embarrassing moment for the actress.
When Parker was on stage, Jackman asked her to dance with him, but she was hesitant to do so as it appears that she was well aware of the possibility of a wardrobe malfunction.
However, she still managed to dance, but was holding her top all the time until she finally told the actor that she was "scared" of what could happen to her top.
The "And Just Like That" star also made a comment, possibly about Janet Jackson's malfunction when her breast was exposed during the Super Bowl Halftime Show that year.
Hugh Jackman as Peter Allen in 'The Boy From Oz'
Elsewhere in his interview with the outlet, Hugh Jackman recalled his time playing the character of Peter Allen in "The Boy From Oz."
He noted that there were times during every show that was ad-libbed. After performing for 50 or 60 shows, Jackman said he felt completely free to do whatever he wants, and there were times when he consider himself an "a-hole" for his on-stage actions.
"I brought up Barbara Walters and Matt Damon, and made Matt Damon give Barbara Walters a lap dance, which turned into me giving Matt Damon a lap dance. And he didn't punch me," he said.
Despite his age, the actor is still open to performing the role again in the future, saying it crossed his mind many times.
