Kim Kardashian Desperate For Divorce Proceedings To End After Kanye West's Lawyer Ditches Him
Kanye West hasn't stopped generating headlines for everything he says and does, but the rest of the world, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, wants it all to stop.
The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" actress is apparently anxious to finalize her divorce from the "Donda" rapper, whom she has stated she does not want to be associated with.
After seven years of marriage, the 42-year-old reality star filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021. But, after more than a year, she is more than ready to call it quits on their marriage.
Despite his claims that he intended to expedite the divorce, the Grammy-winning rapper's strange conduct has created several delays.
Kanye officially changed his name to Ye a few months ago, and it took him several weeks to complete his declaration of disclosure. He has also lost six lawyers since many find it difficult to deal with him.
His lawyer in Los Angeles, Nick Salick, is said to be still working on the divorce, but his lawyer in New York, Robert Stephan Cohen, is no longer representing him.
According to TMZ, Salick is eager to reach a custody and property settlement deal, despite the fact that no more filings have been filed.
However, when repeatedly questioned if Kanye is still a customer, his staff declined to confirm or deny anything.
However, Kanye's financial information, including assets, debts, income, and spending, was filed by his lawyer in mid-October.
Because Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, and a slew of other companies lost connections with Kanye West this week, his attorneys may wish to resubmit the application.
It has also been reported that the father-of-four is no longer on Forbes' list of billionaires, with the "Golddigger" rapper joking, "I lost 2 billion dollars in one day."
Kanye West's recent anti-Semitic remarks generated national outrage, with his ex-wife also expressing her support for the Jewish community. She did not, however, address Kanye by name.
Another insider told The Sun that the SKIMS mogul's statement was plain because she didn't want to go out against the rapper until their divorce was finalized - since she's anxious to officially separate from him.
"She is so intent on getting the divorce and finally getting him out of her life," the source said. "But she knows that if she says something now, he'll start, and she'll be stuck with this for another year."
Kim couldn't risk any last-minute surprises for him, according to the insider.
"I believe the divorce will proceed even if she has nothing to do with it," they added, "but she is scared that if she presses his buttons now, he will find a way to fight it or whatever."
