Taylor Swift is being urged to weigh in on the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas as one of her "Eras Tour" security guards returned home to join Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the ongoing war.

Swift has remained silent so far despite calls from fans and even the State of Israel to make a statement on the fight between Israel and Hamas (also known as the Islamic Resistance Movement), which began with the Oct. 7 attack on Israel that left at least 1,400 people dead and 242 people kidnapped.

On Sunday, the State of Israel's official account on X, formerly Twitter, tagged Swift in a post and asked her to help find an alleged kidnapped fan.

"Roni (19) Eshel, who is a huge Swiftie, has been missing since the October 7th Massacre," @Israel tweeted. "It would mean the world to Roni's family if Taylor would use her platform to call for Roni's return."

Late in October, the State also announced in an Instagram post that Swift's former bodyguard had joined the IDF. It also tagged the singer.

"Hey @taylorswift, we promise you'll never find another like him," Israel captioned a photo of the ex-bodyguard in military uniform and a snap of him with the pop star. "Taylor Swift's #ErasTour bodyguard returned home to fight for his country."

The Israel-born former security guard, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the Israeli outlet Israel Hayom last month that he chose to leave his "great life" and "amazing dream job" in the U.S. and return home because he "could not stand on the sidelines while families are being slaughtered and burned alive in their homes," a statement from the outlet obtained by Variety said.

He went on to condemn Hamas, which the U.S. deemed a terrorist group in 1997.

"They killed and slaughtered families in their beds alongside family's pets!!!! And then they burned the houses down!!!! Try to imagine that happening in your own neighborhood, to your next-door neighbors, or to a family you know," the ex-bodyguard said in his statement.

He also urged people to stand with Israel, saying: "I'm not only standing here with Israel and actually standing here. I'm standing here with humanity. Don't be on the wrong side of history!! Don't stand on the sidelines and say nothing..."

The bodyguard went viral earlier this year after a video of him guarding Swift at one of her concerts got massive attention on social media.

Suporters of Palestine have also been urging Swift to use her platform to address the civilian deaths in Gaza using the hashtag "#SwiftiesForPalestine." They also called for a boycott of an upcoming Swift-themed episode of "Dancing With the Stars" until she makes a public statement.

"[T]aylor, I’m begging you, please read the room," one fan tweeted.

The Health Ministry of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip said Monday that more than 10,000 Palestinian civilians and fighters have been killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza since the conflict began, the Associated Press reported.

Over the weekend, Swift was spotted hanging out with a group of pals, including Selena Gomez, who was criticized last week over her Instagram post about the war that seemingly did not take any side.

"People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any group is horrific," Gomez wrote, as seen in a screenshot obtained by Pop Base. "I'm sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag... I wish I could change the world, but a post won't."

Following the post and the criticism she received over it, the "Good for You" signed an open letter to President Joe Biden urging a ceasefire in Gaza, while her company Rare Beauty announced that it would be donating to the Palestine Red Crescent Society and Israel's national blood and medical emergency service (Magen David Adom) as well as UNICEF amid the "humanitarian crisis in Gaza."
