Swifties - Taylor Swift fans - spotted their favorite singer in an old advertisement released eight years before she was born.

Late in October, a 1981 commercial of "Glamour Gals" dolls was posted on Instagram with the text, "This 1981 commercial is proof Taylor Swift is a time traveler."

It has since gained 6.2 million views and over 250,930 likes on the platform, with many users agreeing with the uncanny resemblance of the American singer-songwriter to the woman in the doll commercial.

Fans and netizens who saw the old advertisement had to take a second look because the woman looked so similar to Taylor Swift - dark blonde hair, full bangs and curly locks. Their smile, eye color, makeup and gestures looked the same too.

"Wait what? She ain't Taylor?" commented one user; another stated, "OK, but it SOUNDS Like her [too]."

"@taylorswift, is that you? I didn't know you time-traveled?..." quipped a different
user. A fourth user said, "@taylorswift, we know it's you.""[Is she a] shapeshifter, time traveler or something?" wrote another.

The Instagram reel also gained different speculations as to who Taylor Swift's "doppelganger" was. Some even claimed that the woman in the advertisement was Taylor's mom.

"That's her mother! She used to make commercials when she was younger," commented one user, while another quipped, "It's just Ashley," pertaining to the singer's lookalike.

However, the woman in question revealed herself, and it was American actress Toni Hudson. She commented on the post and said, "This is me! I also look just like her in the movie 'Young Doctors in Love.'"

Responding to a comment saying it was not her, she wrote, "Me for sure! I even made the money from those commercials! I was 20 years of age. [I had] three spots a year running for three years. I always played younger back then."

Hudson just turned 63 on Thursday. She was known for her roles in the films "Young Doctors in Love," "Cross Creek," "Places in the Heart," "Prime Risk," "Just One of the Guys," "School Spirit," "Nothing in Common" and "Uninvited" in the 1980s.

She also made guest appearances on television shows such as "The Greatest American Hero," "T.J. Hooker," "Knight Rider," "The A-Team" and "The Love Boat" at the time.
