Melania Trump Accepts 'Completely Transactional Marriage' With Donald Trump, Supportive Of Husband: Former BFF
Melania Trump and Donald Trump's marriage is solid despite various rumors about their relationship, according to her former friend and adviser.
Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania's former BFF who also worked with the ex-FLOTUS, weighed in on the Trumps' marriage. Winston Wolkoff, who knew Melania and Donald, claimed the pair has a "completely transactional marriage."
"It's a completely transactional marriage for both," Winston Wolkoff told The Washington Post. "She knew exactly who she married and warned him that all his secrets would come out if he ran for president."
However, despite their alleged "transactional marriage," Melania and Donald understood each other. They are also supportive of one another.
The "Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady" author also claimed Melania unlikely approved of Donald's plan to run for president again but would never publicly admit it. Instead, she would continue to support and never abandon him, no matter what.
"No amount of scrutiny, no amount of cheating, lying, stealing, you name it, will change that," the former staffer continued. "She has stood by him and will continue to stand by him because she is just like him."
Melania hasn't been seen in Donald's campaigns after he announced his reelection bid. However, she released a statement expressing her support for her husband.
"He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength," she told Fox News.
Dan Leber, a funeral home owner from New Jersey who owns a condo in the Palm Beach area, also shared his thoughts about Melania and Donald's relationship. He had close encounters with the Trumps and even remembered one incident when Melania ran over to give her spouse a celebratory hug in front of everyone. For him, the rumors questioning the Trumps' marriage were baseless.
"I don't believe the stories that say their relationship is bad," Leber said. "Every time one comes out, a week or two later you hear she's completely supporting him."
Melania and Donald rarely make public displays of affection and praise each other. However, before her 48th birthday, he sent out a campaign email to his supporters, called her his "better half" and even referred to her as his "rock and foundation."
"Melania is my rock and foundation, and I wouldn't be the man I am today without her by my side," Trump said in an email, per People.
Melania and Donald tied the knot in January 2005. She's Donald's third wife after Ivana Trump (1977 to 1990) and Marla Maples (1993 to 1999). Melania and Donald welcomed their son Barron on March 20, 2006.
