The 2013 Teen Choice airs live Sunday on FOX, giving praise to the most votes teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web.

The final wave of nominees was announced on July 15 and leading up to the awards ceremony, Enstarz came up with a list of some of the top contenders that have a good shot of taking home the coveted surfboard - some for the first time in their careers.

In the category of Choice Single: Female Artist, the standout is Anna Kendricks with Cups (Pitch Perfect's When I'm Gone). Kendrick, first and foremost known as an actress before becoming a singer, may have competition from Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus - but she has something different and unique to offer. Cups is not like any other song nominated at the awards ceremony. Kendrick made it a hit with her talent of - literally - banging cups to her palm and making music with the drinking vessel. The song hit radiowaves by storm and led Kendrick to film her first ever music video, which has amassed over 40.5 million hits on YouTube. The other songs in the category may have reached a bigger audience on YouTube (Come & Get It has 101 million) but the unique quality of the song may give Kendrick's an edge.

Miley Cyrus have a good shot, however, at taking home the Choice Female Hottie award. With her transformation from Disney star to singing "To my home girls here with the big butt/Shaking it like we at a strip club," Cyrus' style makeover continues to make headlines. One eye-catching ensemble was the mesh gown she wore to the MET Gala in May.

Another Pitch Perfect star that may take home a surfboard on Sunday is Rebel Wilson for her nomination in the category Choice Comedian. She may be up against veterans Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon, but this is Wilson's year. She also was a memorable host of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards in April.

For Choice Twitter Personality, the votes may come down to Justin Bieber and Katy Perry battling it out. The Fireworks singer recently surpassed Lady Gaga - also nominated in the category - as the most-followed female on Twitter currently with 40.4 million followers compared to Gaga's 39.6 million. However, Bieber is still on top as the most followed celebrity on the social media website with 42.8 million followers. I doubt President Obama stands a chance for the award and Rihanna is more active on Instagram that Twitter.

In the movie category, this year was the year of animated films surpassed any blockbuster thriller in theaters. For Choice Summer Movie: Comedy, the surfboard will undoubtedly go to either Despicable Me 2 or Monster's University. Both films knocked down major blockbusters on the box office charts in their opening weeks, toping Pacific Rim, Grown Ups 2 and more. Despicable 2 stayed at No. 1 in its second weekend, grossing $44.8 million for a domestic total of $229.2 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Monster's University in its opening weekend came in at No. 1 surpassing Brad Pitt's World War Z, the Superman movie Man of Steel and the Seth Rogen comedy This is the End, among many others.
