'1000-Lb Sisters' Amy Slaton Shares New Photo With Tammy Flaunting Their Epic Weight Loss
Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton both had an epic weight loss that some fans thought TLC should change the title of their reality show, "1000-Lb Sisters," as it no longer holds true for them.
Tammy and Amy have reunited in the upcoming season of their reality show after the former got cleared of leaving Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburgh, Ohio, where she spent 14 months and met and married her late husband, Caleb Willington. Amy seemingly celebrated their reunion by sharing a snap with Tammy on Instagram weeks before the fifth season of their reality show premieres.
In the snap, the two siblings sit on the steps with their backs against each other and holding each other's hands. Both are all smiles at the cameras.
Amy rocked a plain shirt, pink leather jacket, tight denim jeans and black boots. She styled her short purple locks in a half updo. Meanwhile, Tammy donned a black dress and purple cardigan. She also wore a pair of black-framed glasses and black shoes.
"1000lbs sisters vs the world," Amy wrote in the caption.
The snap impressed their fans, and many expressed joy for the duo's weight loss progress. Several felt they looked much better than when their show started years ago.
"They're gonna have to rename the show! Y'all look great!" one commented. Another netizen seemingly agreed, writing, "500 lb sisters??" with fire and red heart emojis.
"Def not 1000 lb sisters anymore!!!" a third user opined.
"Wow. you girls look so pretty and healthier. Congratulations on your journey," a fourth user added.
Another fan was so impressed by Tammy, who had a harder time shedding the extra pounds than her sister Amy. The netizen was overwhelmed with Tammy's progress, even calling her a "miracle story."
"This actually had me gasp. My God, you did the IMPOSSIBLE!!! You did what everyone, including yourself, thought you couldn't," Tammy's supporter wrote. "You are a miracle story. People thought you were awful but never considered your circumstances. Deep down, you truly are an incredible woman, Tammy."
TLC recently dropped the new trailer for "1000-Lb Sisters" Season 5. The clip featured Tammy announcing that she's "ready to conquer the world" after losing nearly 300 pounds following a 14-month stint at a rehab facility.
Tammy was warmly welcomed by her siblings after being gone for over a year. However, she also later realized that things were falling apart, especially for her sister Amy, who decided to divorce her husband, Michael Halterman, earlier this year.
"1000-Lb Sisters" Season 5 premieres on Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
