Prince Harry Could Release Another Book After Controversial Memoir 'Spare,' Expert Claims
Prince Harry could release another book since there are still a lot of unanswered questions, according to a royal expert.
Royal commentator and author Christopher Andersen spoke with Fox News Digital about Prince Harry and the possibility of him releasing another book after he dropped his controversial memoir "Spare" earlier this year. Andersen said Prince William's brother might consider a sequel because "there is plenty more for Harry to tell."
"There is much for Harry to reveal about what has been going on behind the scenes since his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died and his father became king," he explained.
"And let's not forget that the Sussexes' adventures in the U.S. -- their efforts at establishing their own global brand, coping with the pressures, having to deal with the opprobrium that has been heaped upon them -- all of this is fairly rich material for any writer."
Andersen also mentioned that in his book "Brothers and Wives" and "The King," he reported that King Charles made "benign remarks" about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's appearance, which sparked racism allegations against the royal family. Prince Harry didn't share more details about the alleged incident. However, Andersen speculated that "there may have been other examples of racism inside palace walls that he may not be willing to share."
He also pointed out the resentment between the royal siblings -- Prince Harry and Prince William. The royal expert felt it was "deeper" than many suspected. However, it's still unclear why there was so much bad blood between Prince Diana's sons.
In his interview with The Telegraph days after "Spare" was released, Prince Harry seemingly hinted about a potential second book. Markle's husband said the first draft of his 400-page book was 800 pages, suggesting that it contained more stories.
"There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know," he said. "Because I don't think they would ever forgive me."
Prince Harry's statement at the time received mixed responses from the netizens. However, some felt that it was a threat to the royal family.
"It's blackmail ... if you say to someone do what I want or I'm going to use the embarrassing information I know about you and tell everyone. It's disgusting that he's threatening his own family like that. Just goes to show how desperate he's becoming and how he can't handle criticism!" one user reacted.
