LOOK: Trump Admits He Has To 'Lose Some Weight' After Seeing Court Sketches Of Him
Former President Donald Trump reportedly commented that he needed to "lose some weight" after seeing a sketch artist's courtroom drawing of him.
On Thursday, the 77-year-old took a moment to engage with courtroom artists and assess their sketches during the proceedings in his $250 million civil fraud trial in New York.
One artist, Jane Rosenberg, recounted to ABC News that Trump complimented her depiction with a simple "nice" as he observed the courtroom sketches capturing him at the defense table.
Fellow sketch artist Isabelle Brourman's work also got a positive reaction from Trump, who reportedly exclaimed, "Wow, amazing."
However, Trump's critique did not stop at praise as he reportedly said, "Gotta lose some weight," after inspecting Brourman's work.
The real estate tycoon is not the first Trump to take an interest in the visual representation of himself during the trial.
His son, Donald Trump Jr., expressed a desire to appear "sexy" in the courtroom sketches during a previous chat with Rosenberg, Reuters reported.
The ex-president is no stranger to weight-related discussions.
During his presidency from 2017 to 2021, his doctor advised him to shed up to 15 pounds through improved dietary habits and exercise, according to Reuters.
In a 2019 examination, Trump weighed 243 pounds, placing him in the obese range, although his overall health was described as very good by his physician, Sean Conley.
In the ongoing civil lawsuit in New York, New York Attorney General Letitia James accused Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Jr., and other Trump Organization executives of engaging in a decade-long scheme involving "numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation."
They allegedly engaged in the scheme to inflate Trump's net worth to win favorable financing.
Trump vehemently denied any wrongdoing, attributing the claims to a political witch hunt.
The trial, which commenced in October, is part of a series of legal challenges the former president faces as he navigates a potential comeback bid for the White House.
Trump has confirmed his intent to testify on Monday, marking the conclusion of the defense case.
The judge in the case has already ruled that Trump and his adult sons manipulated financial statements to secure favorable loan and insurance terms.
