Prince William and Kate Middleton dropped their newest family portrait for their Christmas Card.

The Prince and Princess of Wales treated fans with another adorable family photo on Saturday. The black and white image showed the future king and queen and their three children -- Prince George, 10; Princess Charlotte, 8; and Prince Louis, 5 -- in white button-down shirts and dark pants. The snap that the royal couple shared on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram was captured by photographer and videographer Josh Shinner.

"Our family Christmas card for 2023," Prince William and Middleton wrote in the caption with a Christmas tree and red heart emojis.

The snap received mixed reactions from the netizens, with some criticizing it because it was allegedly not festive enough for the holidays.

"[S]uch a horrible picture...for Christmas," one commented. Another added, "7/10 Will & Kate must try harder."

"Fixed it for you! Merry Christmas. Jesus is born!" a third user wrote, adding a huge Christmas tree in the background with Christmas lights.

"Did you all just give up? Beautiful family, but maybe a little Christmas cheer and color would be more suitable for the occassion [sic]," a fourth user opined.

However, many also defended the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall because they found the photo "relatable." They also praised it because they considered it "beautiful" and "gorgeous."

"Actually, it's cool. It's a very creative slant on things demonstrating that they are real, genuine people. The picture makes me feel comfortable and makes them look relatable," one commented, defending the Waleses.

Another user shared the same opinion and sided with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. "It's called being relatable. After all, royals are human too. I think it's a perfectly splendid photo," the netizen stated.

"Everyone is hating on the fact that it's black and white, but our kids' Christmas pictures were black and white too this year. It's totally normal and doesn't mean it is any less festive," another user wrote.

"Such a beautiful picture of a beautiful family!! I love everyone's matching outfits, the smiles.. just everything, thank you, Your Royal Highnesses, for this wonderful surprise and for allowing us to see your adorable kids grow up before our eyes! We love you guys," a royal supporter remarked with multiple heart emojis.

Meanwhile, the Waleses recently stepped out as a family for the annual Christmas Concert at Westminster Abbey that Middleton has been hosting for three years. Prince Louis stole the spotlight again with his cheeky moves. He was photographed leaning over to blow out his sister Princess Charlotte's candle. Middleton seemed to catch his move as she looked down at them, People reported.
