Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly are gearing up for a reconciliation "strategy," aiming to mend ties with King Charles III after a tumultuous year.

Despite a strained relationship worsened by Prince Harry's bombshell memoir and recent drama over claims of racism within the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to extend an olive branch during the Christmas season, Page Six reported.

Prince Harry, Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to reach out to the King from their Montecito home in California over the holidays. Enstarz could not independently verify this information.

"Harry and Meghan's new strategy is reconciliation," an unnamed "well-placed" source claimed to the outlet.

The report comes amid a tense year marked by the release of the couple's Netflix docuseries and Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," which included criticism of Queen Camilla.

King Charles and Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, were also named in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie's controversial royal book, "Endgame," as the royals who allegedly raised concerns about the skin color of Prince Harry and Markle's then-unborn son, Prince Archie.

The royal family dynamics have faced strain, with Prince Harry reportedly not having spoken to his brother, Prince William, in over a year.

However, last month, the Sussexes initiated a call to King Charles on his 75th birthday, where their children joyfully participated.

King Charles, who recorded his annual Christmas speech this week, made no mention of his younger son and the former "Suits" star in his address last year.

The royal family, excluding Prince Harry and Markle, will gather at Sandringham for Christmas, including Prince Andrew.

The last time the entire family celebrated together was in 2018, with subsequent holidays marked by the Sussexes' move to Canada and their departure from the royal family.

When asked if Prince Harry wants to reunite with the royal family, an unnamed Sussex source told Page Six last month, "Of course, Harry wants to have a better relationship with Charles. He is his father after all."

Meanwhile, Markle's pal Misan Harriman recently shared new photos of her from a screening of the short film "The After," hosted by Netflix in November.

Markle looked elegant in a monochromatic outfit consisting of a chocolate brown blazer over what appears to be a matching turtleneck dress.

"Here are some images from a very special screening of 'The After' moderated by the Duchess of Sussex," the photographer, who directed the 16-minute short film about a fictional rideshare driver, captioned his snaps on Instagram.

Harriman added, "It was extra special to have her and so many of my film idols watch this film. Thank you for coming to all the guests and @netflix for hosting."
