WATCH: K-Pop Idols React To SB19 Stell's High Note In 'Crimzone' Performance At AAA 2023
Stell, one of the five members of the Filipino pop group SB19, captured the attention and admiration of several K-Pop idols who attended the 2023 Asia Artist Awards with his high notes during his group's performance of their song "Crimzone."
A Stell fan account posted a compilation clip of the P-Pop singer's high notes during SB19's performance at the awards show on TikTok.
As the band's lead singer belted the high notes during their "Crimzone" performance, members of the K-Pop groups StrayKids, Kep1er and NewJeans were seen clapping, vibing and cheering.
In the clip, the New Jeans members were nodding and clapping after Stell hit his high notes. Meanwhile, members of Kep1er were shouting and putting their hands up, like Stray Kids. Some just looked stunned after hearing Stell's impressive range.
Fans who watched the livestream of the 2023 AAA noticed the K-Pop idols' reaction and expressed on TikTok and X how proud they were of Stell.
"Despite the short screen time of Stell, his outstanding stage performance in both singing and dancing has been deeply imprinted on the audience minds," one fan commented.
Another wrote, "[Stell is] always slaying." A third user added, "Their reactions are so satisfying!"
"You know what's even more crazy? He did it twice during difficult songs! Damn, Stell!" another fan gushed.
"Imagine, after all that dancing, he was still able to slay notes that high. Boy, you're immortal. He is not P-Pop's top male vocalist for nothing!" a Stell fan tweeted.
"Hanji being so hyped makes my heart so happy," another one wrote. Someone else quipped, "When you're completely speechless, all you can do is scratch your head."
"Minji is so shocked," tweeted another.
Stell and his SB19 bandmates recently gained global popularity among artists in different countries, including South Korea, Japan, China and Indonesia, after the release of the group's hit song "Gento."
Aside from "Gento," the P-Pop idols also performed their other songs, "Crimzone," "Mana" and "Bazinga," at AAA 2023.
Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin debuted in October 2018 as SB19 with "Tilaluha," a sentimental ballad single. Since then, they have released albums, including "Get In The Zone," "Pagsibol" and "Pagtatag."
