'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton Emotionally Apologizes To Amy For 'Being A Burden'
The "1000-Lb Sisters" star Tammy Slaton acknowledged how her younger sister Amy Slaton put up with her amid their weight loss journeys.
The TLC stars have had ups and downs in their relationship, just like other siblings. However, in one clip shared on TLC's Instagram page, the pair had an emotional moment when Tammy, 37, apologized to Amy, 36. Both struggled with their weight loss journeys, but Amy was able to accomplish her goals years ago and juggled her family troubles with her ex, Michael Halterman, while still looking after Tammy. Earlier this year, Amy announced that she was divorcing Michael, with whom she shared two sons Glenn, 1, and Gage, 3.
"That's why I was sorry for being a burden," Tammy told Amy.
"You were never a burden," a teary Amy responded, assuring Tammy.
The video then showed Amy's confessional outside their house.
"She thinks that she was a burden," Amy said, adding, "No. I did it because I loved you. And I will never give up on you. No matter what you do. You can murder somebody, and I will still take your side because you are my sister."
When the producer from the background asked, "Really?" Amy jokingly added while laughing, "Nah, I probably wouldn't be honest with you. Like, like that b--ch murdered somebody? Go to hell. I ain't gonna lie." The producer asked again if she wouldn't help Tammy if such [a] case happened, and Amy said while laughing, "Hell, no. B--ch, go call Amanda for that one."
Meanwhile, many fans praised Tammy because she had finally matured. Several also acknowledged how kind of a sister Amy was.
"I am so proud of Tammy and how she handled the situation with her sisters and Michael. She handled it calmly as she called the police on Michael, and she didn't yell or anything," one commented. Another added, "Tammy has changed so much. She's grown in maturity. So proud to see her story unfold. Keep going, Tammy."
"I feel like Amy corrected herself because the camera crew was like," a third user wrote with a grimacing face and a man and woman gesturing no emojis.
"@amyslaton_halterman [you're] such a sweet, kind and loving person. You're my favorite person. [red heart emoji] big hugs x," a fourth fan added.
In another clip from the same episode, Tammy talked about putting up a "coochie board," causing Amy to wonder what it was. She asked Tammy, and the latter said it's a board where one puts cheese, proteins and grapes. Amy understood that Tammy meant "charcuterie" board, and she handed the latter one.
"That's a good paddle," Tammy said before telling Amy to "bend over."
Amy played along with her sister and said, "I like it rough," before she bent over. Tammy spanked Amy's behind with the board, and both laughed.
"1000-Lb Sisters" Season 5 airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
